🎨 Application Instructions
Equipment Notice
A heat press is strongly recommended for applying Wild Pointer Co. DTF transfers. While Cricut EasyPress machines or household irons may work, results can be inconsistent. Wild Pointer Co. is not responsible for damage, misapplication, or transfer failure caused by irons or EasyPress machines. Use alternative tools at your own risk.
Cotton Garments
- Temperature: 300°F / 149°C
- Time: 10–15 seconds
- Pressure: Medium to heavy
- Allow transfer to cool to the touch, then cold peel
- Cover with a Teflon sheet and re-press for 10 seconds to fully seat edges
Polyester Garments
- Temperature: 285°F / 140°C
- Time: 10 seconds
- Pressure: Medium to heavy
- Allow transfer to cool to the touch, then cold peel
- Cover with a Teflon sheet and re-press for 10 seconds to lock in edges
Neck Tag Application
Neck tags require precise pressure. Use a smaller press or adjust the garment to avoid interference from the collar seam, which can prevent proper adhesion if not positioned correctly.
Pro Tips for Best Results
- Fine-line designs: Ensure consistent, firm pressure to avoid incomplete transfers
- Teflon sheets & pressing pillows: Highly recommended. Insufficient pressure is the most common cause of DTF transfer issues
- Always test before full production when using a new garment or press setup
